Series 2000 FAQ

Q :How many POS can DVR software support, if only one COM port on the machine?
A :With only one COM port available, the DVR software can support one POS only. You can get a serial
PCI or USB to serial adapter, if more than one POS connect to the machine

Q :How many PTZ cameras can  DVR software support, if only one COM port on the machine?
A :You can have up to 16 PTZ cameras on  DVR software with only one COM port. The serial
multiplexer is needed in this configuration. Each PTZ is set to a same unique Hardware ID both on the
PTZ (DIP Switch) and in our DVR software (Setup).

Q :Why is the download performance of Remote Playback unsteady?
A :This is affected by the bandwidth. If you select all 16 channels and download 10-minute data for each
channel, the file size will be so great that leads to slow transmission speed. But downloading these files
in the LAN environment or using a T3 line is quite fast.

Q :Will the display and recording rate (frames) be affected when the camera resolution is set at 640x480
or 720x480?
A :Yes. When the camera is set at 640x480 or 720x480, causing higher CPU usage and great consumption
of system resources, the program will automatically adjust these rate(s) to ensure steadiness of its
performance.

Q :How do I setup the POS?
A :
